Augusta County Library is currently looking for a qualified candidate embedded in the Beverly Manor community to fill the Library Board’s Beverly Manor seat.
Make a positive impact on your community!
Over the past five years, the library board has successfully:
- Secured funding and resources for the opening of the Stuarts Draft Library Station (2017) and the Weyers Cave Library Station (2020)
- Secured funding to hire a consultant to work with the library, board, and community members to develop the FY20-23 strategic plan (2019-2020)
- Supported the library’s move to have a fine-free policy (2020)
- Provided support for continuous library services during the COVID-19 Pandemic (2020-Present)
- Conducted a search for and hired a new Library Director (2021)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to…
- Provide feedback on how you and your community utilize library services and planning for the future of Augusta County Library
- Advocate for funding and resources to support community members through library services
- Provide input on library policy and budget
- Attend meetings on the third Thursday of every other month at 4:00 pm, primarily at the Fishersville Main Branch
Candidates must have a permanent residence in the Beverly Manor magisterial district
